The plot of the 12th episode - The Night Lands

In episode 2 of Season 2 of Game of Thrones Cersei reads Robb's message during the council in the capital. Ned Stark's son is ready to sacrifice a lot and make peace with the Lannisters. However, Cersei defiantly tears up the document, making it clear that she is not going to negotiate with her sworn enemy. In addition, this lady is reading out another letter – from the commander of the Watch, Giora. He asks Cersei to send warriors, because the undead are going to storm the Wall. But the council is skeptical of Giora's words. Everyone is only concerned about the upcoming clashes with Stannis and Robb. Meanwhile, Lord Varys and Tyrion are figuring things out and making veiled threats to each other.

Cersei worries about Stannis for a reason. He gathers a mighty armada of ships to storm the Royal Harbor. He and his associate Davos turn to the cruel villain and pirate Sallador for help, offering a deal. The essence of the informal agreement is simple: the corsair and his ships help to storm the capital, and in return Stannis allows the rich city to be plundered unhindered. After that, the pretender to the throne falls under the spell of Melisandre. A mysterious sorceress promises Stannis an heir!
